Mixed Faces
Analog practice, found archive, and sensitive digitization.
Since 2023, Mixed Faces gathers a collection of slides rescued from trash, flea markets, and garages: discarded photographic fragments holding stories on the verge of oblivion.
Through the physical superposition of frames, transparencies, and interventions with natural elements-such as leaf skeletons and organic veils-the series merges distant worlds onto a single plane. The sacred, the domestic, and the botanical collide over the analog emulsion.
Passing through the scanner, these compositions acquire a new digital materiality. The light that once projected these lost memories is transformed today into a bridge of preservation: a rescue practice where the fragility of the physical support endures within intangible memory.
